Mindful Parenting
A Contemplative 4-week Course
In this course, we will practice mindfulness and compassion meditation and explore the intersection of parenting and mindfulness through discussion, shared learning, meditation periods, and relational mindfulness activities. The science of mindfulness suggests that we can build emotional resilience, inner strength and well-being, all qualities we hope to cultivate as parents. These inner resources help us develop the flexibility to be present, kind, and skillful whether we are alone or interacting with our children and families.
One of our intentions with this course is to support parents of our teens to develop a shared practice and language to support each other in deepening emotional and relational skills. This course is set up for parents who are new to meditation and those with more experience.
